Hey there Wings fans. Its the seond intallment of the Coach's corner and this week we talk to Coach Burn's about the great start so far.We where able to catch Burns onthe way to afternoon practice and heres what he had to say.

 

Eddie: Coach Burns congrates on the great start so far ?

 

Burns: Well thanks.

 

Eddie: Are you surpised at all at the record?

 

Burns: Yes and no. We expected to be undeafted still. LOL  Seriously we let a game go when we played Edmonton and just played terrible againts Calagary the other night.  I mean its not to bad we got 3 out of 6 points on the road trip but we should have had 6.

 

Eddie: So it seem you guys like to play at home with a 4-0 recorder so far ?.

 

Burns: Yah home has been good for us! I hope we can keep that trend going, specially tommorow againts the Canucks, LOL.

 

Eddie:  Are you surprised at all at the vast improvment for Joe Thronton?

 

Burns: Of course not! . Thornton is the franchise, with Yzerman, Amonte and Murray getting up there we are looking for our young talent to step up and take the rains from the guys. Joe reminded a lot of people of Mario Lemieux and Eric Lindros. At 6-4 and 200 pounds he was as big as they had been at the same age, and had similar skills, I am just excited to watch him blossom here.

 

Eddie:  Has the medi attention calmed down for Richter?

 

Burns:  No its still pretty crazy. Mike's was getting alot of bad press talking about if he could ahndle the work load and can he stay healthy. I mean we have been lowered in Power rankings beacuse the think he cant hack it. But Mike's is a vet and he know how to block that garbage out and just get down to business. He's looking forward to shoving it back in the writers faces! I mean what a great record he's got so far 5-1-1 and he just getting started.

 

Eddie: Ohhh alittle hostle about rankings? LOL!

 

Burns: LOL, can you repeat that question?

 

Eddie: Well Pat thanks alot for your time and I look forward to out next sit down?

 

Burns: No problem and I look forward to it!
