The quite before the storm!

With the end of the regular season upon us you can hear a pin drop in the Fleetcenter. With afew days grace before the start of the play-offs the Bruins are taking the time to recharge and get ready for the run at the cup. The Bruins made a mad rush and came together down the stretch to win home ice advantage for the 1st round of the play-offs. "We wanted to get that home ice advantage cause the Fleetcenter has treated us great this year" Coach Craig MacTavish said. The Bruins have a 24-15-2 home record and are looking to use that to move them into the 2nd round. "We have a great home and great fans that really do make a 7th player on the ice for us" GM Chris Baillie said

The quest for the cup begins!

With the run for the holy grale of hockey upon us the Bruins are ready and hopping for a long 2nd season.

The Bruins finished off the season with a 5 game unbeaten streak and home ice advantage. They have also silenced the NHLS with confirmming that Hasek will be back next year. All that is need now is a long run in the play-offs and hopefully the cup.

The Bruins had some conserns with the loss of Valire Bure with a broken elbow but his schedule for come back has improved over the last 2 weeks. He is expect to be back by late first round eairly second if the Bruins can stay alive.

"Lossing Val was a blow to us but thats the NSHL for yah, you must learn to brush yourself off, and get back up when you fall. We have done that with an impressive drive to end the reagular season" coach Craig MacTavish said.

The Bruins also lost young D-man Brain Campbell with a knee injury and his prognosises is not as great a Bure's.

"Yah Camps looks like he's done for the year. His knee was pretty torn up but he's in good spirts and hey you never know" MacTavish said

"This team has come together and is ready to go to war for each other. When you get that attitude in a team you better watch out. This guys know they have a really great shot this year and know on any given night can beat the best of teams. Plus we have 1 of the best goalies in the league and alot of hungry guys. I wouldnt want to meet this team in the play-offs I will tell you that much" GM Chris Baillie said.

Well weither the Bruins make a deep run or an eailry exit this team is ready for World war 3.

Hasek confirms he's comming back next year!

Dominik Hasek has confirmed that he plans to return to play hockey next season with the Boston Bruins.

With the talk of Hasek retiring at the end of the season the Bruins had some conserns in the goaltending department and went out at the deadline and pick up fellow countryman Cechmanek. Now those worries are no more with Hasek's decision to come back with the Bruins next year.

GM Baillie said "We have talked with Hasek and his agent and we have come to a verbal agreement. We are not going to sign any papers right away. We have a cup to win and the paper work can be made after the play-offs. The main thing is we both want to deal and we are just so happy that Hasek wants to stick around for atleast another season"

"I have to say again, I want to play for the Boston Bruins. I was considering retiring after the season but every since I was traded to Boston at the start of the season they have done everthing to make myself and my family feel welcome. This experience has recharged my desier for the game and I love they way the city feels for this team and like I said before, my desire is to play for the Boston Bruins" Hasek said.

When asked if he could address his thinking with regard to how long he was going to play? If he was thinking if just come back and play one more season or does he have an open mind about playing this year and see what happens?

Hasek said "I'm not looking anywhere farther. Im just focused on this comming play-offs and next season and whats going to happen after I dont know. I dont talk about the NHL and the whole contract with the Players Association. Ive focused myself on this upcoming play-offs and next season and nothing else at this point."

Well with the start of the play-offs just days away the Bruns are already on the right track!
